Hotel collection and National Museum
Begin with collection at approximately 8:30 am and a private transfer to Nairobi National Museum. Your guide introduces the day and asks about your interests before choosing the pace through the available galleries. The visit allows time to read, ask questions and pause over a collection that interests you. Gallery availability can change, so the guide adapts the order within the museum rather than promising every display.
Museum grounds and lunch
After the main museum visit, take a brief pause in the available outdoor areas before continuing to the arranged lunch venue. One lunch is included and dietary requirements are agreed before departure. Your private vehicle remains available for the scheduled transfers, keeping the day comfortable between walking sections.
The neighbouring Snake Park is a separate attraction and is not included in the standard route. Additional attractions should be agreed before confirmation so that the day remains unhurried.
Nairobi Gallery visit
Continue to Nairobi Gallery near the centre of the city. Explore the accessible art and heritage displays, including collections associated with Joseph and Sheila Murumbi where available. Your guide introduces the building’s place in Nairobi’s development and gives you time to examine the displays at your own pace.
The afternoon presents a different perspective from the morning museum, with a focus on collecting, artistic expression and the historic building itself.
City orientation and hotel return
Finish with a guided city centre orientation using a practical combination of driving and short walking sections. View the exterior of public landmarks and discuss how the capital has developed around its commercial and civic spaces. The route follows current access conditions and your preferred walking pace.
Return to the agreed hotel or residence at approximately 4:30 pm. Building interiors, rooftop admission and market purchases are outside the included programme, and the day ends without further transport or accommodation.

This is a one day excursion with no overnight accommodation. The planning window is approximately 8:30 am to 4:30 pm and the total duration is approximately 8 hours. Expect short urban transfers throughout the day, with time on the road varying considerably with traffic. Times include neither a guarantee of traffic conditions nor a fixed wildlife viewing schedule; your collection and expected return are confirmed for your hotel and travel date.
Private transport means that your road vehicle and driver guide serve your party. Public attractions, museum galleries and scheduled host presentations may also welcome other visitors. Museum access, exhibitions and any city walking sections are checked for the selected date. The city orientation uses public areas and exterior landmark views.
Expect walking through galleries and a short city centre walking section. Tell us if you need a slower pace, step free access checks or a mainly vehicle based orientation.
Provide each traveller’s age, nationality, residency category and any dietary or mobility requirements before quotation. Included fees are calculated from those details, and no price is published until the trip is quoted. Wildlife sightings, weather and mountain views cannot be guaranteed.
