Early morning collection and park entry
Meet your driver guide at the agreed Nairobi hotel or residence at approximately 6:00 am. After a short introduction to the day, travel to the park gate and complete the confirmed admission arrangements. The drive from your hotel depends on its position and morning traffic, so your collection time is adjusted before the excursion.
Once inside, begin the wildlife drive along available tracks. Keep your camera ready while your guide introduces the landscape and the viewing rules that help protect the animals.
Morning wildlife drive
Spend the cooler part of the morning exploring grassland, bush and other accessible habitats. The guide chooses the circuit according to conditions and recent sightings rather than promising a particular animal. Pause where there is something interesting to observe, whether that is grazing zebra, giraffe movement or a rhino sighting from a respectful distance.
The pace allows photographs and interpretation. City skyline views depend on the location, light and weather, and there are no wild elephants in Nairobi National Park.
Picnic lunch and final park circuit
Take the included picnic lunch at an approved stop, with the guide confirming where you may leave the vehicle. Dietary requirements should be supplied in advance so the meal can be prepared appropriately. Continue with a final wildlife circuit after lunch, using the remaining time to explore a different track or revisit an active sighting.
The programme does not include the Sheldrick Nursery, Giraffe Centre, Nairobi Animal Orphanage or Safari Walk. Each requires its own arrangements and would change the focus of this itinerary.
Return to your Nairobi hotel
Leave the park in time for the agreed return, expected around 2:00 pm under ordinary traffic conditions. Your guide drops you at the collection hotel or another Nairobi point confirmed before departure. Lunch has been provided, but breakfast, dinner and further transport are outside the excursion.
The tour ends on the same day, leaving the remainder of the afternoon for your independent plans.
Know before you go
This is a one day excursion with no overnight accommodation. The planning window is approximately 6:00 am to 2:00 pm and the total duration is approximately 8 hours. Allow roughly 30 to 90 minutes each way between the agreed hotel and park gate, depending on traffic. Times include neither a guarantee of traffic conditions nor a fixed wildlife viewing schedule; your collection and expected return are confirmed for your hotel and travel date.
Private transport means that your road vehicle and driver guide serve your party. Public attractions, museum galleries and scheduled host presentations may also welcome other visitors. Park entry and permitted tracks must be confirmed for your date.
This is primarily a seated vehicle safari. Share any needs concerning vehicle steps, seating or bathroom access before confirmation.
Provide each traveller’s age, nationality, residency category and any dietary or mobility requirements before quotation. Included fees are calculated from those details, and no price is published until the trip is quoted. Wildlife sightings, weather and mountain views cannot be guaranteed. Avoid planning a tight onward flight around the estimated return time.
