Overview

Tsavo West National Park Travel Guide

Tsavo West National Park combines wildlife with some of southern Kenya’s most varied scenery. Volcanic hills, lava flows, woodland, open plains, rocky viewpoints and permanent springs give the park a very different character from neighbouring Tsavo East.

Mzima Springs is a major attraction, while Shetani Lava Flow, Roaring Rocks and other viewpoints add geological and photographic interest. Wildlife can include elephant, buffalo, giraffe, zebra, antelope, lion, leopard and rhino in protected areas.

Tsavo West is an excellent partner to Tsavo East National Park and Amboseli National Park, creating a strong southern Kenya circuit.
