Overview

Aberdare National Park Travel Guide

Aberdare National Park brings a highland character to a Kenya safari. Dense forest, bamboo zones, open moorland, mountain streams and waterfalls create a cool and atmospheric landscape.

Wildlife can be more concealed than on open savannahs, which makes sightings feel especially rewarding. Elephant and buffalo are regularly associated with the park, while forest species, antelope and predators may also occur.

The Aberdares can connect well with Ol Pejeta Conservancy and wider central Kenya itineraries before continuing toward Samburu National Reserve.

Official information is available from the Kenya Wildlife Service Aberdare National Park page.
